What to expect
Every color service begins with a personalized consultation. Your stylist will discuss your desired look, evaluate your hair’s current condition, and recommend the best approach to achieve your color goals while maintaining the health and integrity of your hair. Whether you're booking a root touch-up, dimensional balayage, full blonding session, or a bold color transformation, each appointment is tailored to your hair type, tone, and maintenance preferences. Service times may range from 30 minutes to several hours depending on the color technique, length, density, and overall process required. During your appointment, expect thoughtful application, professional product recommendations, and guidance on maintaining your color between visits so your hair stays vibrant, healthy, and beautiful long after you leave the salon.
Recommended frequency
Full-coverage color typically refreshes every 4–6 weeks. Highlights and balayage hold for 8–12 weeks thanks to the natural grow-out. A gloss or toner refresh between full appointments keeps the result vibrant without committing to another full service.
Pair with
Add a B3 Intensive Repair & Rebonding to any lightening service to protect the hair structure during the process. Finish with a blow-out or thermal styling for a polished walk-out look.

Balayage — frequently asked questions
Quick answers to what clients usually ask before booking.
How long does balayage last?
Because the lightener is hand-painted free of the root, balayage grows out softly and most clients re-visit every 10–14 weeks. A gloss refresh at the 5–7 week mark keeps the tone from going brassy.
Will balayage damage my hair?
Done correctly, balayage is gentler on the hair than full highlights because foils are not used and the lightener never sits directly at the root. We pair every lightening service with a B3 Intensive Repair add-on to protect the bond structure during processing.
What is the difference between balayage and highlights?
Highlights are pulled through foils in tight, uniform sections — great for an evenly-bright result. Balayage is hand-painted in sweeping, irregular strokes that mimic how the sun naturally lightens hair, so the grow-out is much softer.
How much does balayage cost in Glendale?
Balayage at The Look starts at the price shown on this page and scales with length, density, and how dramatic a lift you want. A free consultation is included if you are not sure where you fall on that range — we will look at your hair and give you a firm quote.
Do you recommend a toner with balayage?
Yes — every balayage at our salon includes the toning step. Lightener alone leaves warm undertones; the toner refines the color into the exact shade you want and helps the result feel finished from day one.
